If you are a Hits customer, you already have 5G active. Nonetheless, to be able to enjoy this new feature, please check the following:
1. Update your device: If your mobile is not up to date, 5G will not work as it should, and we don´t want that! Go to “Software Update” or “Update Settings” and make sure your mobile is up to date.
2. Is your mobile 5G compatible? Here´s how you can check:
Android: Go to “Settings” >” Connections” > “Mobile Networks”. If you see “Network Mode 5G/4G/3G/2G you are ready for 5G!
Apple: Go to “Settings” > “Mobile Service” > “Mobile Data Options” > “Voice & Data”. If you see “5G Auto”or “5G On”, your iphone is ready for 5G!
3. Adjust your mobile phone settings for 5G
Android: Select “Network Mode 5G/4G/3G/2G” in “Settings” > “Connections” > “Mobile Networks”.
Apple: Select “5G Auto” or “5G On” in “Settings” > “Mobile Data” > “Mobile Data Options” > “Voice & Data”.
4. Find out if you can have 5G: Look at the icon on the status bar on the mobile phone screen. Can you see the 5G symbol? Great! You can also do a speedtest to confirm it.
